I am currently working as an Assistant Professor Senior Grade 2 in VIT-AP University Andhra Pradesh, India

I am a Native of Assam and was born in Mizoram.

I completed my Ph.D. on the Development of a Software-Defined Network (SDN) controller forInternet of Things (IoT) under the guidance of Prof. Goutam Saha and Dr. Arnab Kumar Maji from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya, India in the year 2021. The research work was mainly focused on the control plane of SDN-based IoT networks.

Teaching

Since 2021, I am serving as an Assistant Professor Senior Grade 2 at VIT-AP University, Andhra Pradesh, India

Prior to joining VIT-AP University, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim, India from August 2020 to May 2021.

Additionally, I served as a Visiting Faculty at MIT University Shillong campus, Shillong, Meghalaya, India in 2018.

My teaching career began at Mizoram University, Aizawl, Mizoram, India where I worked as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Information Technology from August 2014 to July 2016.

Research

My area of research includes the Internet of Things (IoT), Software-Defined Networks (SDN), Blockchain and Big Data.

Ph.D. Summary

During my Ph.D. research, I specialized in SDN and IoT networks, proposing innovative architectures like SD-6LN, 6LE-SDN, Nx-IoT, FT-SDN, and FoSDN for SDN-based IoT networks. I also developed a lightweight SDN-based IoT protocol to enhance interoperability between SDN and IoT networks. Through rigorous evaluation using real-time testbeds and simulations, with a focus on edge-based IoT networks, my research significantly enhanced scalability, availability, and reliability in SDN-based IoT networks. The outcomes of this work were published in esteemed journals and conferences, and I have also submitted patent applications.
